Share Box took a mission to beautiful Bogota, Colombia in late July to help homeless and needy people throughout the city. While meandering throughout the beautiful and historic streets of Bogota, we were able to distribute Colombian Pesos, groceries, and hot meals purchased from local restaurants which also helped struggling small business owners from lack of business from the ongoing worldwide pandemic. Then, a journey was taken to the top of majestic Monserrate via cable car, which resulted in breathtaking sweeping views of the city below. Once at the summit, Share Box made a generous monetary donation to the church offering box.
Spending a few days and nights in the city was a humbling time to be reminded of how many countries outside of the United States is not as fortunate to have the resources we have access too. Sometimes basic life nurturing elements such as clean water and air are not available to the citizens of these beautiful, yet poverty stricken countries. Share Box did it’s best to at least provide some relief and hope for the ones who we were fortunate to help out.
The Covid pandemic is not over and for many countries around the world, many challenges and heartaches are ahead. Many great organizations along with Share Box are trying to make a difference in the world and it starts from helping the first person. Please be kind, and think about how you can make a difference in the world in your neighborhood or on the other side of the world. Thank you for your generous donations and volunteering your time to help your fellow Man.
