Brazil, like many other countries in the world was hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic.  With over 4.5 million cases and over 137,000 deaths, the people of Brazil have suffered tremendously.  The country closed it’s borders to most countries in the world to try to slow the spread of the disease. While trying to slow the spread, there have been serious health and economic consequences to the people of Brazil, especially the poor and disadvantaged.  The homeless population has grown throughout Brazil and many are going hungry everyday.  Fortunately, the Brazilian government and local and international organizations and volunteers have done great work to provide relief and hope to the masses. But more help is needed and the world should not forget those in need once the pandemic is over and out of the news.

Once Brazil opened it’s borders to the world again, Share Box prepared a shipment of school supplies, PPE and sanitizers, and clothes and various household goods to take to those in need.  The relief aid was delivered to some homeless and local volunteers near the Sao Paulo Cathedral in downtown where a large population of homeless can be found.  Although many people were able to receive goods, unfortunately many went without. It is Share Box’s goal to serve as many needy people as possible and we will not stop in our mission to do so. Join Share Box in the mission to make a better world for everyone.
